After suffering cardiac arrest during practice on campus four months ago, Bronny is expected to make his debut this weekend against Long Beach State. Coach Andy Enfield stated that Bronny looks and feels good, but a final decision will be made based on his performance at Friday’s practice and evaluation afterwards. Bronny collapsed and briefly lost consciousness during the July 24th practice at Galen Center and was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for three days before being discharged.

Bronny James, a guard for the Southern California basketball team, was given the green light to return to basketball on November 30th after being cleared by his doctors. Following this announcement, he participated in warmups before the Trojans’ game against Gonzaga on December 2nd, which unfortunately ended in a loss for the team. The James family expressed their gratitude towards the medical team, the USC community, friends, family, and fans for their support during this time. LeBron James, Bronny’s father and a four-time NBA champion, had previously stated that he would attend his son’s collegiate debut, even if it meant missing a Lakers game.
